Honor 5X vs LeTV Le 1S, Comparative

Today we have introduced two new mid-range smartphones that also are remarkably similar two smartphones that have technical features that are almost the same: the Honor 5X and LeTV Le 1S. Is one of them better than the other? Comparison between the two smartphones.

Almost the same
With these two releases that have occurred today, the truth is that is not necessary to define what features should have a mid-range smartphone, because in fact we have two phones which have almost the same technical characteristics. In fact, if we included in this list two other phones, the Meizu Metal and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro that might come very soon, we would have four mobile almost equal.

In this case, we find the format 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution. A large screen quality, 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which does not become Quad HD, which would have a higher price, but offer a quality that is not much differ from the high range.

High performance
The key to the mid-range of this generation is improved performance of smartphones. While last year and even part of this, mobile midrange had a processor that was, in fact, basic range, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410, now that's no longer true. The LeTV Le 1S has Helio X10 with MediaTek, a high-end processor of the generation that ends now, it will become more midrange. The Honor 5X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, mid-range processor generation now also ends. But there is a mid-range simply, it is a processor that has not been present in almost any smartphone thrown this year, precisely because it is actually an above-average level range. You could say it is a high-end, low-profile, mid-range or high profile. Precisely this is also the type of processor that is the MediaTek Helio X10, MediaTek always to be a little worse than Qualcomm.

If we consider that are mobile with less than 200 euros prices, it is easy to deduce that are mobile with high performance at a price they have. And in both cases we speak of similar phones. A highlight would be the RAM, 3 GB in both cases. The Motorola Moto G 2015, 180 euros, the most basic version has a RAM of 1 GB. 1 GB vs 3 GB, it is clear the level of the current midrange.

Yes there is a difference in the internal memory, which distinguishes between the two. While LeTV Le H1 comes with an internal memory of 32 GB, Honor 5X comes with expandable in both cases internal memory of 16 GB. One of the two phones is a level somewhat higher than other components, probably because the profit margin is lower, though still very similar.

Great design
The last great innovation of mobile midrange is the design of these. Mainly that they are no longer mobile plastic, but are now movable metal. Any midrange go to reach the market with a price of 200 euros or less, as will be metallic, and in the case of these two smartphones. Both LeTV Le 1S as 5X Honor are metallic. The first one is only available in gold, while the second comes in three classic versions, including gold, silver and gray. The LeTV Le H1 is a smartphone somewhat smaller in thickness and width, but still are very similar phones.

Furthermore, the two phones also have similar prices. Although Honor 5X is available in a version with RAM memory of 2 GB which is more economical versions you see in the comparison chart below have the same price of 180 euros, it might be something different when they are available to buy. But it is a fairly accurate reference price, which is also the classic mid-range price.
